Author: Jeb H. Perry
Average review score:

Screen Gems-the best and original television studio!
This book provides the most accurate and interesting history of the original television studio that brought the industry to life and for nearly four and a half decades brought us our favorite classic sitcoms. They defined the television industry as being the first Hollywood studio-owned company to produce television programs. It may be outdated, but it is an excellent look at this ancient television studio!

Second Fastest Gun

Author: Perry Curtis Bales
Average review score:

Gun Fighters Word Of Honor
I thought "Second Fastest Gun" was an extrodinary book. It grabbed my attention in the first few pages and held my attention to the very last page. I liked the fact that the "Gunfighter/bad guy" turned out to be a man of honor and by the end of the book had earned the trust and respect of the whole town. I also was glad that in the end he got his woman.

The Self in Psychotic Process: Its Symbolization in Schizophrenia (Jungian Classics Series, No 10)
Published in Paperback by Spring Audio & Journal (April, 1987)
Author: John Weir Perry
Average review score:

A very important book
C. G. Jung started as a psychiatrist learning from schizophrenic patients. Among the Junguian school, only John W. Perry has continued this line of Jung's work with such depth of understanding, clinical acumen, and the ability to write beautifully. Perry's therapy in the California Bay Area with acute episodes in young psychotic patients brought him national and international renown. The case of the young housewife diagnosed catatonic schizophrenic demonstrates the interpenetration of collective symbols and individual processes as the come to light in "breakdown" (Part One), and extends knowledge of the psyche by elucidating symbols of the Self (Part Two). This second edition includes a new preface by Dr. Perry, together with the original Foreword by C. G. Jung, scholarly apparatus, illustrations, and index. (From the back cover) 184pp.

The Seven Churches Not in the Book of Revelation
Published in Paperback by Broadman & Holman Publishers (June, 2001)
Authors: Gene Mims and John Perry
Average review score:

This is the place.....
The author has brought home some excellent observations on local church behavior. This book is a quick and necessary read for anyone questioning their calling to a specific church.

Whatever the flock is looking for in a shepherd, whatever the role, the shepherd needs to communicate to the sheep one message above all others...that they are loved. This is a most excellent and fun to read book. Go for it!

A Short Course in Technical Trading
Published in Paperback by John Wiley & Sons (June, 2003)
Author: Perry J. Kaufman
Average review score:

It's a start!
In no way is Technical Analysis a easy subject to tackle. It's full of intricacies, formulas, and complexities that most people have a hard time getting a full grasp of what they are trying to accomplish with technical analysis.

Mr. Kaufman does an excellent job of bringing this subject to the reader in a digestible form. As the author of three financial books I can attest to the difficulty of separating the art from the science of technical analysis. In "Futures For Small Speculators" I only bring it up briefly. In this respect Mr. Kaufman shines and exceeds my communication abilities.

This is a great start into the world of Technical Analysis without having to be overwhelmed by mathematics.

I definitely recommend it.

The Sierra Club Guide to the Natural Areas of Florida
Published in Paperback by Sierra Club Books (September, 1992)
Authors: John Perry and Jane Greverus Perry
Average review score:

Very informative
A great book on natural areas of florida that includes state, local, and national parks. When most of us think "Florida", we think of Walt Disney, Orlando, and Miami. This book is a guide that describes the other side of Florida - the unspoiled natural places. A must have for wildlife and nature lovers.

A Sierra Club Naturalist's Guide to the Middle Atlantic Coast : Cape Hatteras to Cape Cod
Published in Paperback by Sierra Club Books (July, 1985)
Author: Bill Perry
Average review score:

Why hasn't this been reviewed?
I can't believe no one has reviewed this very excellent book on "The Middle Atlantic Coast". I've read and reread and learned so much about the area I've lived most of my life. Perhaps it's the title "Natualist's Guide". Before I read this book I wanted to be (a Naturalist) and upon finishing it I found I was on my way. The Sierra Club guidebooks are extremely informative and this one in particular is a great buy.

Simply Cinema
Published in Paperback by Kendall/Hunt Publishing Company (June, 1989)
Author: Perry F. Mills
Average review score:

brilliance
Perry Mills is a genius. He will be the first to admit it, too. His book will be the second. This is not so much a scholarly recitation of movie plots, but an exegesis on the ideas encompassed by some of the most brilliant films of all times. This is one of those books where, after reading it, you are left wondering how it has ever gone out of print and why it isn't on every bookshelf in America.

Since You'Ve Been Gone
Published in Paperback by Steeple Hill (September, 1999)
Author: Marta Perry
Average review score:

Very highly recommended
Dr. Bailey Tate was irrepressible, irresponsible, and lovable to a fault. He left seven years ago for a two-week mercy mission in the Amazon rainforest. He was presumed dead in a plane crash -- how dare he show up a week before Amanda's wedding. It was only the memory of Amanda that kept him going these long years with the Yanomani Indians. His new eye patch only lends a rakish, dangerous air.

Amanda Meadows thinks that she has finally put the bad, confusing times behind her. She has a handsome fiancé, a flourishing career, and a well ordered life. Exactly the wrong time for a husband to turn up -- and hardly the time for the old magnetic pull toward Bailey to manifest itself. She's already lived through the despair of losing a passionate, all-consuming love. And she's engaged to Marcus Stone -- Bailey's former partner.

As a tropical storm blows in, Amanda finds herself confronting the past and the future with the man who stole her heart. Sharing a meal suddenly becomes difficult as Bailey's seething lustiness draws her. But she's not the same woman he knew. She's no longer the sweet, submissive wife that put him through med school. Bailey left behind marital problems, huge debt, and a pregnant wife. He came back to an engaged career woman with a national contract to roll out her cookie baking series from coast to coast.

SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE is a tingly, impossible, totally romantic tale that makes you feel good right down to the toes. This compelling tale rates tops for originality and delight. Bailey's spontaneity and Amanda's assertiveness provide a combustible plot certain to keep the pages turning. Very highly recommended.
